Delta Air Lines is once again on board as one of the many sponsors for the upcoming Hafa Adai 5K to be held at Pacific Islands Club Saipan on April 9.

Delta Air Lines has donated one round trip economy ticket to Japan which will be raffled off at the end of the event.

“Delta Air Lines is pleased to continue our support of the Hafa Adai 5K once again this year.  We hope our donation of a roundtrip ticket to Japan will entice more members of the community to come out and join this worthwhile event,” said Delta Air Lines sales account executive Chris Concepcion. “We applaud the Pacific Islands Club for their support of the American Red Cross.  We invite everyone to come out for a day of fun and exercise, all for a worthy cause.”

The 5K fun run will start and finish at PIC Saipan and will feature five different coloring stations along the Beach Road route. Participants are encouraged to wear white attire so that the full effect of the coloring stations can be seen post-race. Volunteers will be celebrating each runner’s arrival by greeting them with “holi powder.” This is biodegradable mixture of corn starch and food coloring.

“This year will have more color, more prizes, more runners and more fun,” said sports and events manager Keoni Ichihara. “The five color stations (blue, pink, green, yellow, and red) along with two water stations will line Beach Road starting at PIC and stretching all the way to Triple J Five Star Wholesale.

“Based on last year’s response, we are expecting more participants this year. We will accept the first 1,200 entries into the event which will once again make this event the biggest in Saipan, “said Sports, Entertainment and Activities director Glenn Policare.

The first 500 paid entries will receive a free t-shirt at the event site.

Entry forms for the Hafa Adai 5K can be found at Triple J Motors, Gold’s Gym, Boarderline or at the PIC Saipan lobby.
