Airline flight schedules at the Francisco C. Ada International Airport met some technical hiccups, with several flights cancelled yesterday and this weekend.

Delta Air Lines flight 298 from Narita to Saipan on Sunday, and Flight 297 from Saipan back to Narita yesterday were cancelled. This was due to maintenance and crewing issues, according to Ryoko Matsumoto, Delta Air Lines corporate communications officer.

Flight 288 from Narita to Saipan on March 29 was delayed overnight and Flight 287 from Saipan to Narita on March 30 will be delayed for approximately eight hours.

To accommodate passengers, delayed Flight 288 passengers hopped on board a bigger aircraft, a Boeing 744, and arrived on Saipan at 12:40pm.

The delayed Flight 287 B744 was also expected to fly out from Saipan to Narita yesterday with the same B744.

Cape Air/United Express also resumed flights yesterday morning, after cancellations over the weekend following a maintenance issue.

United continued to provide extra flights between the islands using a Boeing 737-700 aircraft to accommodate the affected passengers.

Cape Air resumed normal operations yesterday morning. In a statement, the carrier apologized for the any inconvenience this may have caused to their passengers.
