Delta Air Lines has provided the NMI Crime Stoppers program with $1,000 in travel vouchers for its raffle prize as part of this year’s fundraising effort. The raffle was held in conjunction with the NMI Crime Stoppers’ annual fundraising softball tournament held this past weekend on June 7 and 8 at the Capital Hill Softball field.

“Delta Air Lines has been great supporter of the NMI Crime Stoppers Program for over 10 years and this year’s donation is most welcome. The $1,000 Delta Air Lines voucher will be used to raise operation funds for the program,” said Brian Clayton, chairman of the NMI Crime Stoppers Program.

“This year we offered $1,000 in travel vouchers from Delta Air Lines, and with only 200 tickets at $20 per ticket, the odds were great.
There was a one in 200 chance of winning! We think these are the best odds for any raffle on the island and it goes to support a great cause.” Clayton added. “We are hopeful to sell all the tickets for that would be such a huge help to our organization.

Other teams/sponsors included DFS, Aon, Docomo Pacific, IT&E, IP&E, Marpac, Pacific Amusement, Megabyte, Star Sands Plaza (I Love Saipan), CUC, PIC, and Brabu Phamacy.

Crime Stoppers takes tips on its 234-7272 phone line or through its website www.nmicrimestoppers.net. The public can call in tips on any crime from burglary and theft to drug dealing and family violence. All tips remain anonymous; you will never be asked your name or other personal information. Crime Stoppers awards up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest. Crime Stoppers works with local and federal law enforcement, the media, and the community to help prevent and solve crime in the NMI and surrounding islands.
