As of 10am yesterday, all shelter occupants have returned to their homes, according to Department of Community and Cultural Affairs Secretary Robert Hunter.

He said a total of 4 families, consisting of 27 individuals, stayed at the DCCA shelter at the Office of Aging, after being transferred out of the emergency shelter provided by the Public School System.

He said that shelterees were moved from Kagman High School and Marianas High School last Wednesday after PSS resumed classes on Saipan and Tinian yesterday.

PSS had designated eight schools as emergency shelters: MHS, KHS, San Vicente Elementary School, Koblerville Elementary School, Chalan Kanoa Head Start, Dandan Head Start, Tanapag Middle School, and Tinian Elementary School.

As of 11am last Wednesday, all of these shelters were closed and the remaining occupants were transported to the Office of Aging.

The Office of Aging now returns to normal operations.
