Dart Daddies take Masters division title

The Doro’s Dart Daddies are the Masters division champions of the Bud Light Cup, the Saipan Electronic Darts Association’s post-season tournament, as they beat the 6JMS Pythons in last week’s finals held at the former’s home bar in Middle Road in Garapan.
The Daddies blanked the Pythons in the race-to-nine contest behind the impressive games of Willy Cuesta, Chris Monsanto, Jhun Olita, J.R. Vito, and Pam Ybanez.
The quintet never gave their opponents—Burth Dacumos, Edzel Delfin, Ronald Doria, and Joel Gruy—any room to stage a comeback to seal the lopsided win.
The Dart Daddies defeated the Jokers Nakayoshi to clinch a finals berth, while the Pythons foiled the Doro’s Darters’ bid to make it a family affair.
The Jokers Chamberos were playing sister team Northrn Lights in the Tuesday B finals of the Bud Light Cup last night. The Chamberos edged the Jokers 21 Shockers in the semis, 8-6, while the Northern Lights drubbed the VFW Warriors, 8-4, in the other Final Four pairing.
The Jokers Spartans and Doro’s RNV Mixed Nuts scored similar 8-6 decisions over the Blue Koi Managaha Boyz and Jokers Just Dart It to arrange their finals showdown in the C division. The championship match is set tonight at Doro’s restaurant in Middle Road.
The first round of matches the Bud Light Cup in the Fanihi and Flame Tree divisions will begin tomorrow, May 12, in various bars in Garapan. The regular season ended last week.
The Mafia will face the Life After Darts, the Dart Vader will take on Preba Darts, while the Alamo Dragons will battle Team Fearless, and Parakeyu will clash with Ta-Chagi Talo in the Fanihi division.
In the Flame Tree, it will be the Latte Sparts against the Ridin’Darrty and the Kyodai versus the Killaz. Na’Gupu-Em-Tech will duel No Fear-One Shot in the other matchups.
