Dangerous rip currents until Saturday

Share

There is a high risk of dangerous rip currents along east facing reefs of the CNMI until Saturday night. These rip currents will be life-threatening.

Based on the information received from the National Weather Service in Tiyan, Guam, and compiled at the CNMI Emergency Operations Center State Warning Point, an east swell will generate strong rip currents along east facing reefs through Saturday night on Saipan, Tinian, and Rota.

The public is advised to avoid venturing near the reef line, especially along east facing reefs. Stay out of the water.
