Dacumos is Friday darts tourney winner
After getting the boot in the Friday Night Dart Tournament two weeks ago, Burth Dacumos made sure he would win the whole thing as he defeated K.J. Villagomez in the finals last week held at the 6JMS Sports Bar in Garapan.
Dacumos went undefeated all the way to the final match against Villagomez, who dropped to the loser’s bracket after being beaten by Jeff Barit.
Dacumos defeated Aldebert Lizama to kick off his title bid and moved further to the finals with successive victories against Jayson John, Pam Ybanez, and Jose Orosco. He clinched the first finals berth after dispatching former champion Barit.
Villagomez, on the other hand, had to beat Jun Santos and Dan Mateo, respectively, to get another shot at Barit. The eventual runner-up then defeated Barit to earn the right of facing Dacumos in the finals.
Dacumos, however, won’t be denied of the title as he claimed the bragging rights and the $110 top purse. Villagomez settled for $70, while Baritwent home with $30.
