The Commonwealth Utilities Corp. announced yesterday that its Customer Information Hardware System has been experiencing technical issues, and is temporarily offline. However, CUC’s customer centers are still open for business as usual, and CUC is currently encouraging its customers to pay their bills online at cucgov.org. As of press time, the system was still being repaired.

CUC said yesterday that “due to the limitations and/or inaccessibility of the system, assistance may take a little longer than usual.” In some cases, a customer service representative may need to call customers to update them on the status of a request or transaction, or call customers to notify them that these requests or transactions will be completed at another time when the system is operational again.

CUC added that it “is working with system technicians to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.” For customers wishing to visit one of CUC’s customer centers during this time, CUC asks them to bring a copy of their latest utility bill.
