The Commonwealth Utilities Corp. said that all tank service areas throughout the island went online at 10:33am yesterday. However, customers are advised of the following:

-As water pressure builds to normal working pressure customers may encounter potential low water pressure at the onset with airbursts that need to clear as well as brown water. Customers are advised to flush their water until it clears.

– CUC customers were informed in a previous “Precautionary Boil Water Notice” to take precautionary measures by boiling their water before use due to the possible disruption of CUC’s water supply and/or distribution system resulting in the uncertainty of bacterial contamination. This notice is still in effect.

– CUC water personnel will be collecting water samples to analyze for the presence of total coliform bacteria and E. coli. The public will be informed when tests show no bacteria and no longer require water to be boiled. (PR)
