The Commonwealth Utilities Corp.’s first ever Trunk-or-Treat event last Oct. 31 at the Joeten Dandan parking lot drew so many participants that CUC managed to give away over 50 bags of candies and still had to stop by the store to get some more.

The event, which began at 5pm and ended at 7pm, featured 12 vehicles that displayed their decorated trunks.

There was also one informational booth that offered information on typhoons tips, CUC utility rates, job vacancy announcements, etc. Candies were also handed out at this tent.

The participants and their themes included: the Power Generation (no theme, decorated vehicle); Water Division (Under the Sea); Sewer Division (Ninja Turtles); Billing (Book of Life); CUC executive director Gary Camacho and his family (Prison Break); CUC deputy executive director William Gilmore (Mummy); the administrative tent, which was an information booth; Chief of Admin. Bettina Terlaje and her family (Black Cats); Billing and Collections (Holy Cemetery); Customer Service/Call Center (The Purge); Water/Wastewater Engineering (Dawn of the Dead); Chief Financial Officer’s Section (Wicked Witch of the South); and Power Division (Scooby Doo)

The event was so successful that CUC is looking forward to doing more next year, possibly a haunted house. (PR)
