CUC sets power interruption in Garapan today
The Commonwealth Utilities Corp. would like to inform the general public that there will be an emergency power interruption today, July 27, 2016, from 8:30am to 1pm.
Areas to be affected are commercial and residential customers along Alai Hai Avenue (Behind I Love Saipan south to Ocean View Hotel).
The purpose of the power interruption is to de-energize the primary lines to allow the CUC line crew to safely replace two rotted primary poles behind Duty Free Shopping Building.
CUC greatly appreciates the understanding of the community during this period.
Water service may be affected in the area during the power interruption as Water Lift Station S9 will be affected. CUC, however, said all service should be restored after the power ire-energized.
Because of the scale of work that will be performed, motorists should take alternate routes or to exercise caution when driving through the affected area.
