CUC sets temporary power interruption for Chalan Kiya
The Commonwealth Utilities Corp. has scheduled a temporary service interruption for power customers in portions of Chalan Kiya this weekend as linemen strengthen a portion of the transmission and distribution infrastructure along the Kiya 4 feeder.
On Saturday, Feb. 27, CUC will temporarily interrupt power to Chalan Kiya Dr., Amariyu Ln., Asut Pl., Agaga Ln., Betde Pl., Plata Dr., Bwerh Pl., Parapar Pl., Nguus Dr., Chikita Pl., Penta Ln., Tinta Lp., Rasu Ln., Kachang Ln., Tumu Ln., Mikulot Dr., Murena Pl., Attilong Ln., Saipan Health Clinic, and the Duenas well, while linemen replace two rotten power poles, pull five spans of primary conductor and install three cutouts in the area. The five-hour project will begin at 7:30am and power will be restored to the area by 12:30pm.
