CUC: Power interruption on July 11, 14
The Commonwealth Utilities Corp. announced that there would be a couple of power interruption this week and they are scheduled on July 11 and 14.
The July 11 power outage will be on feeder 4 and affect Chalan Savana in Wireless in Ridge from 9am to 1pm. However, water wells and wastewater lift stations will not be affected. CUC plans on replacing a corroded conductor
The power outage on July 14 will be on Feeder 1 and 3 Double Circuit and affect Sadog Tasi and some sections of Puerto Rico from 5am to 10am. Sadog Tasi Treatment Plant, S1, S4, S8, and S9 wastewater lift stations will be affected. Fortunately, no water wells will be affected by the power outage. CUC intends on replacing the two wooden poles with concrete poles.
CUC said the objective for the power interruptions is to de-energize utility lines and authorize CUC linemen the capability to take hold of utilities of the power distribution system. Under this case, CUC advises people to use alternate pathways or stay cautious when driving through these regions.
