A Commonwealth Utilities Corp. employee accused of stealing 3 feet of cable wire from a CUC warehouse in April pleaded guilty on Thursday and was slapped with a one-day prison term.

Juan F. Rabauliman, 58, pleaded guilty to theft as part of a plea deal.

Superior Court Associate Judge Joseph N. Camacho sentenced Rabauliman to the maximum of 90 days imprisonment, all suspended except for one day, with credit for one day of time served. He was placed on six months of supervised probation and required to perform 40 hours of community service, which may be converted to fines.

Rabauliman stole a 3-foot triplex #6 wire worth less than $250 from the CUC warehouse on April 10, 2015.
