CUC to construct new generator building in East Garapan
Traffic rerouted for a week along Beach Road
Commonwealth Utilities Corp’s contractor will be conducting demolition operations of the existing generator building near the corner of Cpl. Derence Jack Road and Beach Road in East Garapan starting, today, Aug. 22, until Sunday, Aug, 28 from 8am to 7pm.
Aside from demolishing the old structure, Fanter Corp. will be constructing a new generator building, called Lift Station S4 Generator Building, for the CUC wastewater system during the seven-day construction period.
While construction activities are underway, traffic will be delayed and parking within the Right-Of-Way (ROW) adjacent to the S4 Generator Building will be closed. Furthermore, the ROW where the proposed generator building would be located will restrict entrance and exit at the backside of Asia Rent Car. There will also be construction related noise for most of the construction period.
CUC appreciates the public’s patience and cooperation. It regrets any inconvenience, which will be caused by this construction. CUC urges motorists and pedestrians to avoid this area unless necessary and use extreme caution when traveling in the construction zone.
