ASAN, Guam—Commander, Navy Expeditionary Forces Command Pacific (CTF-75) will hold an establishment ceremony at Camp Covington on U.S. Naval Base Guam at 10 a.m. Jan. 9.

Rear Adm. Frank Morneau, Commander, Navy Expeditionary Combat Command, will provide opening remarks and Vice Adm. Robert Thomas, Commander, U.S. 7th Fleet, will be the event’s guest speaker.

CTF-75 executes operational command and control of assigned Navy Expeditionary Combat Forces within the 7th Fleet area of operations for crisis response and major combat operations.

As a task force for the U.S. 7th Fleet, it provides the fleet with coastal riverine, explosive ordnance disposal, diving, salvage and construction capabilities, and expeditionary intelligence and logistics in near-shore waters, littoral regions and inland areas.

The Navy’s expeditionary forces exist first and foremost to support the fleet’s warfighting operations and are the Navy’s sea-to-shore interface. (PR)
