The CT Law NMI Rollers hammered the Kagman Sparks, 77-34, during the lone boys U18 division match in the 2018 Frank M. Diaz Memorial Youth League last Wednesday at the Gilbert C. Ada Gymnasium.

The NMI Rollers capitalized on the Sparks’ lackluster performance in the first quarter to establish an early double-digit lead en route to a lopsided win. Kagman was held to 2 points in the opening quarter, courtesy of Jesse Pua’s basket.

The NMI Rollers, on the other hand, recorded 20 points in the first canto after Chris Arceo, Angelo Factor, and Matthew Richardson found their target in that period. Richardson scored 9 points, while Factor and Arceo combined for 10 markers to hand the NMI Rollers an 18-point lead.

After a dismal showing in the first frame, Kagman picked up its scoring a bit in the second quarter. However, the NMI Rollers kept its distance at the break, 32-14, as other players stepped up and contributed to the team’s cause.

The NMI Rollers continued to outgun the Kagman Sparks in the second half, leaving the latter no chance to recover.

Arceo top-scored for the NMI Rollers with his 13 points, while Factor added 12, and A.J. Hudkins and Richardson chipped in 11 and 10, respectively.

NMI Rollers 77— Arceo 13, Factor 12, Hudkins 11, Richardson 10, Ogumoro 8, Dela Cruz 8, Quitugua 8, Valencia 6, Cruz 2, Agulto 2.
Kagman Sparks 34 — Marcel 12, Pua 8, Pangelinan 4, Guerrero 4, Ogo 4, Babauta 2.
Scoring by quarters: 20-2, 32-14, 56-26, 77-34.
