Crucial vote
The local politics on Tinian for this year’s general elections is gradually reaching a boiling point. The strategists from the aisles of the challengers opposing the incumbency of Mayor Roman M. Dela Cruz have yet to put in place their formal strategies and statistical information.
In the meantime, Mayor Dela Cruz continues to focus his mind on the mode of moving forward. Since taking office, he has done moving forward a long time ago. Many people inside and outside of Tinian greatly admire him for being straightforward when it comes to issues affecting the lives of his lovely people. What more can be expected from a quality leader like Mayor Dela Cruz, who holds the kind of quality leadership that the people of Tinian have never seen in a long time?
Here is how the mayoral race on Tinian looks like at this point. There’s no doubt that it is going to be a three-way race. But if the newly revived CNMI Democratic Party puts up a slate on Tinian, then the mayoral race is going to be a four-way race down the road. If the electorate on Tinian is divided into three or four representing the number of candidates running for the position of mayor, then who is going to have more chances and advanced votes in place to win the election? Ponder this question and deliberate the pros and cons and arrive at a positive conclusion for the sake of your family.
In the face of the present economic bad times, the weight of voting who and who not to vote for will be very crucial for voters who are presently unemployed to support their children and meet their financial obligations.
