CRM: Permittees must have land use permits

Share

At the request of CNMI permitting agencies, to ensure compliance, the Division of Coastal Resources Management has informed all current and future permittees that they must have land use permissions to engage in projects or activities at proposed site locations.

For private lands, submission of proof of valid leases are required.

For public lands, permission from the Department of Public Lands or, in the case of submerged lands or within marine protected areas, the Department of Lands and Natural Resources, may be required.

If there are any questions or concerns with this requirement, contact (670) 664-8300.

The Bureau of Environmental and Coastal Quality’s Division of Coastal Resources Management strives to work closely with agency partners and stakeholders to promote wise use and conservation of the CNMI’s resources. (PR)
