Credit for Prior Learning info session
The Prior Learning Assessment Program awards college credit for knowledge gained through employment training programs, military services, and life-experiences as self-assessed and documented in a portfolio. The Northern Marianas College will be hosting free information session to highlight the “Prior Learning Assessment” program. The session will be held on Thursday, Jan. 5 2017, at 5:30pm in Room D-1.
The Prior Learning Assessment Program can help working and retired professionals enhance their resumes with college credit, earn college credit toward a degree of their choice, and get ahead in or re-enter the workforce.
Students enrolled in the program may receive up to 30 credit hours toward degree completion.
The Prior Learning Assessment Program is ideal for adult students who wish to complete a degree while working in their careers. The typical student enrolling in this program is generally 25 years or older with at least five years of work experience and meets the general admission requirements of the college.
In addition to the Prior Learning Assessment Program, the info session will feature a discussion on the availability of scholarships for government and private sector employees.
