Two photo booths are available in the Good Photo Shop at the Town House Shopping Center in Chalan Kanoa in which for just $5, you receive two print outs of your photos and you can also download a digital copy via a QR code. (LEIGH GASES)
You can also download a digital copy on your phone via a QR code which you can show off the photos of you and your friends or family with cute and funky wigs, sunglasses, and other props that are available for free.
Another feature of the photo booth is a time lapse option where you can see yourself taking photos in fast forward which you can also download onto your phone to keep and share.
This shop started from the idea of husband-and-wife duo Jason Ryu and Hyeyeon Cha. They are professional photographers from South Korea who have resided on Saipan for the past couple of years and wanted to bring something novel to the island.
Along with the fun-filled photo booth, they also do professional photo shoots and print photos on acrylic frames, wood frames, phone cases, commemorative frames, and clocks.
Ryu said on opening this business, “there’s no photo booths on Saipan, so we wanted to bring it here. In Korea, it’s very popular so we decided to open this business. We do family photos, baby photos, and others and we are good at photoshop so we can erase any flaws you’d like to take out in your photos.”
A group of friends were seen on the grand opening day enjoying the photo booths, with one teen named Colyn Yumul saying that it’s a great place to hang out with friends, and that people finally have something new to do on the island.
Make memories now and ask assistance from the shop’s friendly staff, Zandro Mamauag Jr., Abegail Amog, or the shop’s owners.
