Frank “The Crank” Camacho returns to his roots when he enters the octagon once more as the featured main event in Trench Warz 18: Rock & Rumble set for Dec. 12 at the Royal Taga Hall of the Saipan World Resort.

Camacho, who started his mixed martial arts career with the Trench Tech gym almost a decade ago, will be facing Chinan MMA Korea’s Jae Woong Kim in a 170-pound non-title bout.

Camacho was last featured in a Trench Tech fight card in Trench Warz 5: Return of the Octagon on Feb. 24, 2007 where he won by way of knockout over Nathan “The Butcher” Hanson in the 3:45 mark of the opening round.

That KO punch victory was part of the 25-year-old’s eight-fight winning streak that also included debut triumphs over Fritz Rodriguez in the Universal Reality Combat Championship: Unstoppable on Dec. 2, 2006; John Ogo in Pacific Xtreme Combat 11: No Turning Back on April 13, 2007; and Carlos Eduardo Santos in Geran Haga: Blood Wars 2 on May 28, 2007.

Camacho, according to the MMA website sherdog.com, currently holds a 12-2 record with 9 KOs, 2 by decision and 1 via submission. His two losses are both by way of KO against Luigi Fioravanti in PXC 12: Settling the Score on July 12, 2007 and Caloy Baduria in URCC 11: Redemption on Nov. 25, 2007.

Kim, 21, is fresh from a technical KO loss to Donggyu Kim in Top FC 2 on May 30, 2014. He holds a 5-3 card with two of his wins by way of KO, while another two were via decision.

Meanwhile, three title fights are also featured in Trench Warz 18 with Roman “Boom” Alvarez as the headliner when he challenges featherweight champion Rob “The Real Deal” Wusstig of Team Countershot.

Wusstig will be making his second defense of the 145-pound belt after snatching the title against Shane “Pikaboo” Alvarez in Trech Warz 15: Supremacy on Dec. 16, 2011. He made a successful defense by beating challenger Jessie Fasi (TKO) two years ago.

Ernie Santos of High Blood Pressure takes on Trench Tech’s Josh “Chaos” Duenas for the flyweight strap, while Will “The Kill” Chope of Team Juggernaut faces Team Ultimate Martial Arts’ Jose “Young Blood” Ramirez for the lightweight crown.

Team Guam Muay Thai’s Rocky “Rock Star” Quichocho takes on Tiger “Bukake” Yatsui of Team ONI in one of the 10 undercard bouts that will have Trench Tech’s Jimmy Kaipat opening the event when he meets Don2Scrap MCMMA’s Jadrien Camacho.

In the other undercard bouts, Team Zalaka’s Deny Jepen collides with Choke Chain’s Rai Norita; Dino “NHB” Cruz of Guam Muay Thai takes on LJ “Makpo” George of Garage Tech; Bradlee Manalo faces Jonathan “Outlaw” Camacho; Mike Picini meets Ben Flores; Allan “The Silver Bullet” Aguon challenges Lenny “The Machine Gun” Sablan; Jones Langu duels John Tudela; Eric “Gatti” Gatman squares off against “Shiska” Bob Alvarez; and Paul Ayuyu of Team Tinian tries to avenge his two losses in last month’s Art of War 9 against Jordan “The Machine Gun” Manglona.

Fighters will have their weigh-in on Dec. 11, from 5 to 7pm at GIG in Garapan.

Tickets before the event are priced at $25 for general admission and $40 for VIP. The prices will be $30 for GA and $50 for VIP on the day of the event.
