Courthouse schedule in March
With the limited financial resources provided to the Judiciary in the government’s appropriations measure for fiscal year 2012, the CNMI Judicial Council has adopted measures to implement a reduction of personnel work hours and courthouse hours of operation.
Through the end of March the courthouses on all three islands will be open with full operations except as noted below:
Saipan
-Limited operation on Friday, March 9, 2012
On days of limited operations, only essential services of the Office of the Clerk of Court, the Office of Adult Probation Services, the Family Court Division, the Marshal Service Division, and Judicial Chambers will be provided. Courts will address certain docket requirements, emergency and related prescheduled matters. The Administrative Services Unit (cashier), Information Systems Unit, Building & Maintenance Unit, Office of the Commonwealth Recorder, Law Revision Commission, and Judiciary Administrative Office will be closed.

Future Judiciary hours of operation
The CNMI Judicial Council considers its hours of operation on a month-to-month basis to evaluate available financial resources, operations, and the provision of judicial services during this period of austerity. The Judicial Council will meet again on March 14, 2012. The hours of operation for April will be released shortly after the meeting on the CNMI Judiciary website, http://www.justice.gov.mp/.
