The Commonwealth Council for Arts and Culture is inviting local artists to participate in its annual Islands Arts Exhibits.

The event will be held at Kanoa Resort on Jan.19 and will run until Feb. 13.
“We are inviting all registered and non-registered artists to join and participate,” CCAC visual and traditional arts coordinator Fe McMahon said.

“I would like to encourage all registered and non-registered artists to take advantage of this opportunity to showcase and sell your art works. All artworks will be monitored by me for the whole duration of the exhibit. I also encourage the artists to participate by doing some demonstration of how to make their own artworks,” McMahon added.

The Island Arts Exhibit will be open from 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday.

The exhibit recognizes and promotes the varieties of artworks that our diverse artists in the community have to offer to our people and visitors.

McMahon said the exhibit will also be great place for the community, visitors, and tourists to buy souvenir and gifts for Valentine’s Day.

For more information on how to join or become a registered artist, contact or visit McMahon at the Art Council Office on Capital Hill next to the Post Office or call her at 322-9983 or 483-1226.
