COTA offers free rides to NMC’s Career Fair

The Commonwealth Office of Transit Authority is offering free roundtrip rides to the general public for the 2014 Northern Marianas College’s Career Fair Day. The event will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2014, from 9am to 12pm in NMC’s Room D1.
Individuals who plan on attending the career fair but have no transportation are encouraged to call and reserve their ride in advance. There will also be accessible passenger vans for individuals with disabilities.

At the Career Fair, jobseekers will be able to meet and speak with recruiters and representatives of the Public School System, Pacific Islands Club, J.C. Tenorio Enterprises, Commonwealth Utilities Corp., Office of Personnel Management, DFS Saipan Ltd., Office of Vocational Rehabilitation, CNMI Head Start Program, Commonwealth Office of Transit Authority, Pacifica Insurance, the Northern Marianas Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence, Sorensen Media Group, Hyatt Regency Saipan, CNMI Department of Labor: Employment Services and Workforce Investment Agency, CDI Workforce Development, College Access Challenge Grant, NMC Human Resources, and more.

Jobseekers who plan to attend the fair are encouraged to dress professionally, prepare copies of updated résumés, expect one-on-one time with employers, and be ready for on the spot interviews. Participants are also asked to prepare to answer and ask questions, to be clear and engaging when speaking, and most importantly, to exhibit confidence when speaking with prospective employers.
