I would like to apologize to you all and especially the Gaming Commissioners because in my last article about education not being delivered, I wrote that the Gaming Commissioners are responsible for the job trainings for the Tinian casinos. Thank you to the former commissioner who wrote to me and sent me a copy of the Tinian Gaming Act where the duties and responsibilities of the Gaming Commission are written, which shows that the commissioners are only responsible for investigation and enforcing the laws stated in the Gaming Act. Also, as stated in the Gaming Act, their salaries is $70,000 per annum, not $80,000. However, I still believe that whoever is appointed as gaming commissioners should be mandated to take courses on how to perform their duties and responsibilities professionally.
