COP’s Sushi Bounty is now weekly
Due to popular demand, the hugely successful Sushi Bounty Japanese buffet at Double Eagle Restaurant is now open every Friday, according to Coral Ocean Point F&B manager Jerry Kintol.

Sushi Bounty used to be a once every-two-weeks affair at the restaurant. However, Kintol said since they were always full every government payday and customers have been asking to make it every Friday, Double Eagle had no choice but accede to the request earlier this month.
“So far so good. We’ve been getting a lot of compliments about our Sushi Bounty and I hope word goes out that we’re not only every government payday but in fact the Japanese buffet is every Friday now.”
Double Eagle offers seven to eight kinds of sushi masterfully prepared by well-known Japanese chef Lito Petonio and his crew.
His usual spread for Sushi Bounty includes most manner of sushi like sake nigiri (salmon), tamogayaki (fried egg), ebi nigiri (cooked shrimp), hamachi (young yellowtail), tekkamaki (tuna thin roll), and everyone’s favorite, California roll. Fresh tuna sashimi in a platter shaped like a galleon is also available.
On the viand side, chef Rey Bulaklak and his crew offer sumptuous Japanese dishes like the ever-popular shrimp tempura, Japanese beef curry, karaage (Japanese fried chicken), and shawanmushi (egg custard).
Sushi Bounty also offers classic Japanese deserts like wasabi cake, Japanese cheesecake, green tea cake, and assorted in-season fruits.
The Japanese buffet also comes with iced tea, miso soup, and several salad choices.
The Sushi Bounty Japanese buffet at Double Eagle Restaurant is open every Friday from 11am to 2pm. It costs $18 for adults and $11.25 for children. It has seats for 100 guests. For reservations, call 234-7000 Ext. 623.
