Coral Ocean Point generously donated a truckload of furniture to the Saipan Seniors Advisory Council at the Office on Aging in China Town last week.

The donated items included mattresses, console with mirror, side table with lamps, floor lamp, bed frames, wooden trash cans, televisions, vanity with chairs, and picture frames.

Every item has been placed throughout the Aging Center.

Council president Maria Salinas said the furniture are very much needed and they are thrilled to receive the donations from COP.

“I thank COP for being such a wonderful resource for us. Not only do they benefit the man’amko, but they generate pride and involvement between both the Aging Center and COP,” she said.

The Office on Aging is tasked to serve and provide assistance to all senior citizens and caregivers by administering programs and activities, promoting independent living, building self esteem, and providing opportunities for seniors to play an active role in the community.

The Man’amko Centers on Saipan, Tinian, and Rota provide opportunities for socializing, relaxation, and participation in a variety of programs and activities, including congregate and home delivery meals, transportation, and health screenings.
