The 21st Annual Taste of the Marianas International Food Festival & Beer Garden during May 2019 Tourism Month in the Marianas just got a whole lot tastier with weekly contests announced by the Marianas Visitors Authority.

The Saturday night extravaganza will feature the Kadun Pika Contest sponsored by Ladder Beach Restaurant on May 4, the BBQ Whole Chicken Contest sponsored by J’s Restaurant on May 11, the Fried Rice Eating Contest sponsored by J’s Restaurant on May 18, and the Hotel Association of the Northern Mariana Islands Chefs’ Competition, also sponsored by Triple J Five Star Wholesale on May 25.

“It’s going to be a great Taste!” said MVA Community Projects manager Martin Duenas. “Thanks to the generous support of our sponsors, every Saturday night is going to have an exciting contest for our visitors and our community to really get a ‘taste’ of what local cooking is all about. We invite everyone to mark their calendars for a whole lot of food, fun, and festivities at Taste of the Marianas in May.”

Contest rules and entry forms will be announced shortly.

The Taste of the Marianas International Food Festival & Beer Garden is an annual signature event of the MVA and is one of the largest celebrations in the Marianas.
