Community comes together in MLSC project

Micronesian Legal Services Corp.’s 2018 Back-to-School Project distributed 216 backpacks with school supplies to children in the CNMI, and gave out remaining additional supplies to some teachers for use with their students. The project reached all three major islands in the CNMI: Saipan, Tinian and Rota.

This year’s success, which tops all prior years, was made possible by the generous donations from the community and supporters of the project. The project received both monetary donations and in-kind donations.

The Back-to-School Project was sponsored by Micronesian Legal Services Corp., which provides free legal aid services for those who meet program eligibility guidelines. Thanks to the generous donations to MLSC’s 2018 Back-to-School Project, there were 216 happy children, now ready and a little more prepared for their school year. Each backpack with supplies was a success for a child, and a building block for their future successes this year.
