COMMUNITY BRIEFS – September 30, 2021
SHRM meeting on Oct. 1
The Society for Human Resource Management-CNMI Chapter will have its general membership meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2021, from 8:30am to 11:30am, at the Hyatt Regency Saipan Ballroom. Doors will open at 8am.
The meeting, which will have the theme “Diversity, Inclusion & Cultural Context in the Workplace,”will feature:
– Dr. Bobby Cruz – director for Instructional Technology and Distance Education and co-director for PSS Mental Health;
– Dr. Jennifer Maratita – licensed mental health counselor and mental health specialist and Clinical Services supervisor for PSS Student Support Services.

MVA office hours on Saipan
The Marianas Visitors Authority Saipan office will be closed on Sept. 30 and Oct. 1, 2021, for professional development. Also, the office will be temporarily closed for lunch through October from 12pm to 1pm, but will remain open weekdays (except official holidays and Oct. 1) from 8am to 12pm and from 1pm to 5pm.
