Saipan Southern High School will be releasing its students’ progress reports today, Sept. 22, 2017, from 2pm to 4pm, in the school’s classrooms. (PR)
Lions Club to celebrate 25th anniversary
The Saipan Fil-American Lions Club will be a host a fundraiser called “The Ultimate Drag Queen 2017” on Nov. 4 at the Royal Taga Hall of the Saipan World Resort, with VIP tickets priced at $25 and general admission at $10. Proceeds will be used for the club’s community projects. Fourteen candidates will be competing. The show will be choreographed and directed by Ernie Molina. Free Service Academy Night on Tinian
The office of Delegate Gregorio Kilili C. Sablan is hosting free Service Academy Night today on Tinian at the Tinian Jr./Sr. High School, from 5pm to 7pm, for those interested in learning more about the educational and career opportunities offered by the U.S. military academies, eligibility requirements, and how to apply. Half-day at MHS
Today, Sept. 22, is half-day for all Marianas High School students. Dismissal is at 12:30pm. The first quarter mid-progress reports will be released from 4pm to 6pm at the E courtyard. (PR)
FOA presents one-act comedies
The Friends of the Arts present One-Act Comedy Night, featuring comedies written by David Ives, Robert Anderson, and Shel Silverstein. They will be performed by Cherlyn Cabrera, Harold Easton, Neil Fama, Gios Gozon, Maria Mettao, Deirdre Rosete, Chuck Sayon, Emma Timmons, Rinisa Torres, Kristine Wolf, and Les Wolf. It will be directed by Harold Easton and staged at the Dolphin Theatre inside the Marianas High School campus, and will run tonight, Sept. 22, and on the evenings of Sept. 23, and 24 at 7pm. EEO opportunity, civil rights updates at SHRM meeting
Glory Gervacio, director of the EEOC’s Honolulu Office, along with Jenna Grambort and Sebastian Aloot from the U.S. Department of Justice, Washington, D.C., will be presenting on updates and current issues on the topic “Equal Employment Opportunity and Civil Rights” at a meeting of the Society for Human Resource Management NMI Chapter today, Sept. 22, at the Hyatt Regency Saipan’s SandCastle, from 8:30am to 2:30pm. This presentation is open to the public and includes the Hyatt lunch buffet and morning snacks and drinks at the cost of $40 for SHRM members and $50 for non-members.
