Jury selection today is cancelled

OVR Counseling Office temporary hours
The Office of Vocational Rehabilitation would like to inform the public of the Counseling Office’s temporary hours. Beginning today, Oct. 5, 2020, to Friday, Oct. 16, 2020, operational hours will be from 7:30am to 11:30am. The afternoon will be dedicated to back-logging all active consumer cases. Additionally, beginning Monday, Oct. 19, 2020, to Friday, Oct. 23, 2020, the Counseling Office will be closed to complete all back-logging and updating of cases. 5.2-magnitude earthquake on Pagan
At 9:3am on Oct. 3, 2020, a report of a 5.2-magnitude earthquake occurred at 18.770°N 145.943°E in the Pagan region, Northern Mariana Islands. Currently, there are no tsunami warnings or advisories issued by the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center. For more information, contact the CNMI EOC State Warning Point at 670-237-8000. (PR)
Scheduled power interruption on Wednesday
There will be a scheduled power interruption on Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2020, from 9am to 1pm for portions of Gualo Rai. This will affect Pacific Air & Tan Ji Chinese Restaurant Building, Grand Laundry & National Collection Agency Building, and Lihn Store.
The outage is intended to de-energize utility lines so that Commonwealth Utilities Corp. linemen can safely replace a rotted primary power pole along with three transformers on Chalan Pale Arnold Road in front of Grand Laundry in Gualo Rai.
Because of the scale of work that will be performed, CUC asks travelers to take alternate routes or to exercise caution when driving through the working area.
