Halloween Trunk or Treat at Toyota showroom
Atkins Kroll is thrilled to host a Halloween Trunk or Treat on Saturday, Oct. 30, from 6pm to 8pm in the Toyota showroom. All are welcome for some Halloween fun. Children are encouraged to dress in their favorite costumes and soak in the spookiest time of year.
“This is the second year we will host a Halloween Trunk or Treat,” said AK vice president and general manager Joel Lesh. “We are very humbled to have the opportunity to offer a safe and fun Halloween event to the community and we hope everyone will take part in all the fun.”
Children will be treated to candy, miniature race cars, and spooky tattoos while supplies last. A photo booth will be on site to capture the fun.

4.9-magnitude quake in Marianas region
At 1:28pm on Oct. 20 2021, a report of a 4.9-magnitude earthquake occurred at 21.849°N 144.435°E in the Mariana Islands region. Currently, there are no tsunami warnings, or advisories that were issued by the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center. For more information, contact the CNMI EOC State Warning Point at 237-8000. (PR)
Ukulele classes at JKPL
The Joeten-Kiyu Public Library registration for ukulele class is ongoing. The minimum age requirement is open to children ages 8 years or older and adults. The total cost for 8 class sessions is $70. Ukulele classes are held at Joeten-Kiyu Public Library in partnership with ukulele instructor Larry Lee. Session is set to begin on Oct. 27, 2021, ukulele class is every Wednesday at 4pm–5pm.
The JKPL ukulele class is based on “First come; first paid” basis. Students must provide their own ukuleles and a folder to hold music sheets (plastic sheet protectors and a 3-ring binder are recommended). Parents/Guardians must sign a Liability Waiver Form on behalf of their participating children and must adhere to public library policies and procedures.
