Small craft advisory

Based on the information received from the National Weather Service in Tiyan, Guam, and compiled at the CNMI Emergency Operations Center State Warning Point, a small craft advisory remains in effect until 6pm today, Monday, for the islands of Rota, Tinian, and Saipan. Northeast winds of 20 to 25 knots are expected through today. Combined seas of 8 to 10 feet will reach 10 to 12 feet today. These conditions will be hazardous for operators of small craft. Inexperienced mariners, especially those operating smaller vessels, should avoid sailing in these conditions. (PR)

CCA film screening tomorrow

As part of its Oral Cancer Health Forum Program, the Commonwealth Cancer Association is inviting the public to its screening of the oral cancer documentary titled Chew tomorrow, Nov. 28, at 6pm at the American Memorial Park Visitors Center theater. (PR)

MIFICPA to host Excel workshop

The Marianas Institute of Filipino CPAs and Accountants, is inviting all members to this year’s workshop on advanced Microsoft Excel. The workshop will be on Dec. 2, 2017, a Saturday, from 8:30am to 12pm, at the Pedro P. Tenorio Multi-Purpose Center in Susupe. Registration starts at 8am.

There will be a $5 fee to cover incidentals. Non-members are welcome for a $15 seminar fee. Seats are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Most importantly, please bring your own laptop.
