DCRM closed on Monday, Tuesday

The Bureau of Environmental & Coastal Quality would like to inform the public that the Division of Coastal Resources Management will be closed on Nov. 22 (Monday) and Nov. 23 (Tuesday) 2021, for a professional development workshop. As such, payments can be made at the CNMI Treasury Office. Regular office hours will resume on Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2021. (PR)

US Passport Office to be on Tinian today

Representatives from the CNMI U.S. Passport Acceptance Facility will be on Tinian today, Nov. 19, 2021, from 8:3am to 4pm at the Department of Finance, Tinian to accept passport applications and answer any inquiries you may have. SHEFA application submission deadline

Deadline to submit spring 2022 application only for not h new and returning applicants for Saipan Higher Education Financial Assistance is on Dec. 1, 2021 (Wednesday). No need to submit an application if you are an ongoing recipient. (PR)

MVA Saipan’s temporary office hours

The Marianas Visitors Authority Saipan office’s temporary office hours through Dec. 31, 2021, are weekdays (except official holidays) from 8am to 12pm and from 1pm to 5pm. The office will be closed from 12pm to 1pm for lunch. For more information, call 664-3200 or email info@mymarianas.com. (PR)

Marianas Writers Movement to host write-in tomorrow

The Marianas Writers Movement is hosting a write-in tomorrow, Nov. 20, 2021, as part of National Novel Writing Month, more popularly known as NaNoWriMo, at the Joeten-Kiyu Public Library from 12:30pm to 3pm. We will have raffle prizes and word wars. Bring your laptop or notebook. We’ll also take time off writing at 2pm for those who want to attend the book launch of former chief justice Jose S. Dela Cruz, which is also happening at the JKPL. (PR)

Ex-chief justice Dela Cruz to launch his book at JKPL

Former NMI Supreme Court chief justice Jose S. Dela Cruz will be launching his book, The Fundamental Issues Affecting the Northern Mariana Islands, this Saturday, Nov. 20, 2021, at 2pm at the Joeten-Kiyu Public Library. Dela Cruz will also be signing copies of his book at the event.

Free webinar on federal contracting

The Guam Procurement Technical Assistance Center is offering free live webinar on Nov. 24, about responding to requests for proposals. The Guam PTAC will walk participants through the common sections and clauses of an RFP as well as provide tips on developing a proposal in response to an RFP. The webinar will run from 10am to 11:30am and will be conducted via Zoom.
