TMS sets virtual PTSA meeting

4.8-magnitude quake on Pagan
At 2:55pm on Nov. 17, 2020, a report of a 4.8-magnitude earthquake occurred at 18.522°N 146.082°E in the Pagan region. Currently, there are no tsunami warnings or advisories issued by the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center. For more information, contact the CNMI EOC State Warning Point at 670-237-8000. (PR)
Free webinars on federal contracting
The Guam Procurement Technical Assistance Center is offering free live webinars in November. Webinars run from 10am to 11:30am and will be conducted via Zoom. Links to the live webinar and the webinar evaluation will be emailed to all registered attendees 15 minutes before the start of the webinar.
Nov. 19 – Marketing to the federal government – The government buys products and services differently than the private sector. The Guam PTAC will discuss marketing strategies, essential documents, and how to get your company on “the list”.
Nov. 25 – How to get Women-Owned Small Business-certified – WOSB is now an official SBA certification program. We will discuss the new certification process as well as supporting document requirements.

Military trainings set
ASAN, Guam—The U.S. Navy will conduct training in Radio Barrigada on the following dates and times: Nov. 18 to 19, from 9am to 11:55pm
Blank ammunition is authorized for this training. Residents in surrounding areas should not be alarmed if they see or hear increased activity.
The U.S. Navy will also conduct training in Agat Bay and Outer Apra Harbor on the following dates and times: Nov. 18 to 19, from 9am to 11:55pm
Blank ammunition will be used for this training. Mariners and residents in surrounding areas should not be alarmed if they hear or see increased activity.
The U.S. Navy will conduct live fire exercises in open ocean at coordinates: 13˚26’’N/145˚08’’E, 13˚42’’N/144˚36’’E on the following dates and times:
Nov. 18 to 19, from 9am to 11:55pm
Marine vessels are advised to remain clear of the area for the duration of these events and to monitor the U.S. Coast Guard broadcast Notice to Mariners for advisories.
The U.S. Air Force and Navy is conducting live fire exercises in Warning Area 517 up to Nov. 20, from 8am to 9pm. Marine vessels are advised to remain clear of the area from 2pm to 9pm for the duration of these events and to monitor the U.S. Coast Guard broadcast Notice to Mariners for advisories.
The U.S. Navy is conducting training in Outer Apra Harbor and Reserve Craft Beach up to Nov. 19, from 10am to 8pm Marine vessels and the public are advised to remain clear of units training in the area.
