US Passport Office to be on Tinian on Friday
Representatives from the CNMI U.S. Passport Acceptance Facility will be on Tinian on Friday, Nov. 19, 2021, from 8:3am to 4pm at the Department of Finance, Tinian to accept passport applications and answer any inquiries you may have. Scheduled power service interruption on Thursday
There will be a scheduled power service interruption on Nov. 18, 2021, from 7:30am to 4:30pm in the Capital Hill area along Isa Drive, affecting the NMI Retirement Fund Building on Capital Hill.
The outage is necessary so the Commonwealth Utilities Corp. can replace three rotted wooden primary power pole with concrete poles and replace 4-spans 3-phase overhead primary conductors with 556 conductors . No water well or wastewater facility will be affected. (PR)
Marianas Writers Movement to host write-in
The Marianas Writers Movement is hosting a write-in on Saturday, Nov. 20, 2021 as part of National Novel Writing Month, more popularly known as NaNoWriMo, at the Joeten-Kiyu Public Library from 12:30pm to 3pm. We will have raffle prizes and word wars. Bring your laptop or notebook. We’ll also take time off writing at 2pm for those who want to attend the book launch of former chief justice Jose S. Dela Cruz, which is also happening at the JKPL. (PR)
Free webinars on federal contracting
The Guam Procurement Technical Assistance Center is offering free live webinars in November. Webinars run from 10am to 11:30am and will be conducted via Zoom. Links to the live webinar and the webinar evaluation will be emailed to all registered attendees 15 minutes before the start of the webinar.
-Nov. 18, 2021 – Marketing to the Federal Government: The government buys products and services differently than the private sector. The Guam PTAC will discuss marketing strategies, essential documents, and how to get your company noticed by government buyers.
-Nov. 24, 2021 – Responding to Requests for Proposals: The Guam PTAC will walk participants through the common sections and clauses of an RFP as well as provide tips on developing a proposal in response to an RFP.
