TMS PTSA meeting on Nov. 13

The Parents Teachers Students Association meeting for Tanapag Middle School will be on Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2019, from 5pm to 6pm in the cafeteria. (PR)

Military training in outer Apra Harbor, Radio Barrigada

SANTA RITA, Guam—Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron 25 will conduct training on Nov. 12, from 6pm to 9pm at Radio Barrigada.
This training supports aircrew combat readiness and is critical to developing the skills needed to respond to operational missions throughout the region to ensure a stable, free, and open Indo-Pacific.
U.S. Naval Base Guam Security Forces will conduct training on Nov. 12, from 7am to 3pm in outer Apra Harbor.
It is recommended the public, fishermen, and marine tour operators monitor the U.S. Coast Guard broadcast notice to mariners for advisories.
These types of trainings are designed to enhance the readiness of military personnel. Residents in surrounding areas should not be alarmed if they see or hear increased activity associated with the training.
The 100th Battalion of the 442nd Infantry Regiment will conduct training on Nov. 14-17, from 5am to 11:55pm at Radio Barrigada. (PR)

Essay contest open to high school students

The Saipan College Prep Academy is holding its “1st Annual SCPA Essay Contest” for high school students on the island. The contest is a double competition, with one open only to SCPA students, and the other being open to all high school students in the CNMI. Students need to write a 650-word essay on the topic, “Is Greta Thunberg right?” and submit it to Keith Tessen or Wanja Choi at the SCPA on or before Dec. 15 for SCPA students, and Dec. 30 for the rest. Winners in both contests will each take home $500, second placers $250, and third placers $125. For more information, contact SCPA at 285-1669 or email Tessen at keithallentessen@gmail.com.

CNMI Got Talent 9 deadline extended

Bridge Capital LLC’s CNMI’s Got Talent 9 audition deadline has been extended to Nov. 12, 2019. To join simply submit your audition in any video format at the Bridge Capital office from Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm. Over $9,000 in prizes will be given away. Kagman schools set PTSA meeting

This is to inform all parents, guardians, and the community that the Kagman Unified Schools will be having a Parents Teachers Students Association meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2019, at 5:30pm in the Kagman High School cafeteria. We are encouraging all parents, and guardians to attend this meeting. Child care will be provided.

Marianas High School will be having its first semester Mid-Progress Open House on Nov. 14, 2019, from 4pm to 6pm at the new cafeteria. A Parents Teachers Students Association meeting will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2019, 6pm at the new cafeteria.  (PR)
