Free health screenings this week

In observation of Diabetes Awareness Month, avail of free health screenings for all agencies on Nov. 16, 2016, from 8am to 12pm at the Office of the Governor’s conference room and Nov. 17, 2016, from 8am to 12pm at the Department of Public Lands conference room. Holiday bazaar on Dec. 4

The annual Brilliant Star School Holiday Bazaar will be held Sunday, Dec. 4, from 9am to 4pm at the Pedro P. Tenorio Multi-Purpose Center in Susupe. The event is an opportunity for artists and other vendors to showcase their arts, and for residents and visitors to get an early start on buying unique and beautiful gifts for the holidays.  Interested vendors may contact the school at 323-STAR (323-7827). For parents who would like to have a little alone shopping time, the event features an arts and crafts area for children. The daylong event is also graced by performances throughout the day by various community cultural and arts groups. There will also be raffles. Raffle prizes have been donated by island businesses and vendors. (PR)

FOA to hold board meeting

The Friends of the Arts will hold a board meeting on Nov. 29, 6:30pm to 9pm, at the Canton Restaurant, across from the Mobil/McDonald’s in Garapan. The meeting will include musical and thespian entertainment. There will be a detailed discussion regarding the 2017 season and the opportunity to renew membership and purchase season tickets. PH mobile outreach on Saipan

The Philippine Consulate General in Agana, Guam, in coordination with Philippine honorary consul to the CNMI Glicerio Arago, said that the biometrics capturing of e-passport applications will take place on Nov. 15-19, at Studio 29:11; 2F DHL office, Chalan Lau-Lau, Middle Road, Saipan. Please note that all e-passport applications require personal appearance. Please wear proper attire (i.e. shirt with collar). Applicants are advised to be present at the venue on the date and time indicated in the schedule.
