MHS Q1 report cards out Monday

Marianas High School will be distributing first quarter report cards to students on Monday, Nov. 17, 2014. There will be no change in the school’s normal schedule, which means students will be released at 3pm. Military training on Farallon de Medinilla

The U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, and U.S. Air Force will conduct training on the island of Farallon de Medinilla on Nov. 12, from 7pm to 11pm, and on Nov. 13, from 9am to 5pm. The general public—especially fishermen, commercial pilots, and marine tour operators—are advised to stay clear from the area during the times and dates indicated. (PR)

Veterans Day ceremony today

The Office of the Governor, CNMI Military/Veterans Affairs Office, and the Veterans Day Committee are inviting the public to the Veterans Day Ceremony will be held at the American Memorial Park’s Court of Honor on Nov. 11, 2014, Tuesday, at 11am. (PR)

Fall Festival at Kagman center

The Kagman Community Church is sponsoring a Fall Festival at the Kagman Community Center on Sunday, Nov. 16, from 2pm to 6pm. Activities include a Dessert Competition, 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament, bouncy houses, games, and face painting for the kids, photos, food, and lots of prizes. Everything is free! Entries for the Dessert Competition need to be in between 2pm and 3pm in order to be judged. There will be an adult and children’s category. The 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament registration will be from 2pm to 3pm and the Tournament will start at 3pm. For more information, email info@kagman.church or call 256-8171. (PR)
