CCA meeting today

The Commonwealth Cancer Association’s board of directors will be holding its monthly meeting today, May 8, at 3pm in the CCA conference room in Gualo Rai. The agenda includes reports from the president, steering committees, program manager, MMAC 2012, and program and project updates. All board meetings are open to the public. OES PTSA meeting today

The PTSA officers of Oleai Elementary School would like to inform the parents and guardians of Oleai Elementary School students that there will be a PTSA meeting today, May8, 6pm in the school cafeteria. Everyone is encouraged to attend. (PR)

John Gonzales LIVE schedule in May

John Gonzales LIVE on Wednesday, May 9, 2012, will feature the topic “NMIRF officials tell all: The future of retirement pension in the NMI,” with guests Fund administrator Richard S. Villagomez and the Fund’s legal and management team.

The program airs from 6:30pm to 7:30pm on KMCV Channel 14 and rebroadcasts on Monday and Tuesday the following week. John Gonzales LIVE also rebroadcasts on Betelnut Radio (www.betelnutradio.com) at 6pm Pacific Standard Time and 9pm Eastern Standard Time (Thursday, May 10 at 11am Chamorro Standard Time).

Next week, John Gonzales LIVE will feature the topic “Revenue Generating Measure(s),” with guests House Speaker Eli D. Cabrera and Vice Speaker Felicidad T. Ogumoro. It will air live on May 16, 2012, and rebroadcasts on May 21 and 22, all from 6:30pm to 7:30pm on KMCV Channel 14. Also available on Betelnut Radio.com on May 16 at 6pm Pacific Standard Time and 9pm Eastern Standard Time (Thursday, May 17 at 11am Chamorro Standard Time).

Free business workshops

The CNMI Small Business Development Center, in partnership with the Saipan Chamber of Commerce, will be hosting the following free workshops:

– How to start a business: May 11, 2012; June 8, 2012. Time: 1:30pm to 3:30pm.

– How to write a business plan: May 18, 2012; June 15, 2012. Time: 1:30pm to 3:30pm.

– How to apply for a bank loan: May 4, 2012; May 25, 2012; June 22, 2012. Time: 1:30pm to 3:30pm.

– How to market your business outside the CNMI: May 7, 2012. Time: 9am to 11am. June 1, 2012; June 29, 2012. Time: 1:30pm to 3:30pm.

All workshops will be held at the Saipan Chamber of Commerce conference room on the first floor of the Familia Building in Garapan, Saipan. Deadline for pre-registration is 12pm, one day before the workshop.
