Precinct 2 town hall tomorrow

Members of the community are invited to join a town hall meeting with Precinct 2 Reps. Christina Sablan and John Paul Sablan tomorrow, May 28, from 5pm to 7pm, at the Pedro P. Tenorio Multi-Purpose Center in Susupe. The two Precinct 2 representatives will take questions and concerns from constituents, and share updates on legislative issues and precinct activities. Public hearing on mandatory fishery data reporting regs

The Department of Lands and Natural Resources Division of Fish and Wildlife is inviting all fishermen, boat owners, restaurant operators, tour operators and all agencies engaged in commercial fishing on Saipan and the Northern Islands that there will be a public hearing on the proposed mandatory data reporting regulations under Pubic Law 17-98, on May 29, 2019, from 5pm to 6pm, at the Carolinian Utt in Garapan. Weightlifting competition on June 15

The 2019 CNMI Weightlifting Championship will be held on June 15, 2019, a Saturday, at the Roundhouse, Garapan Central Park, starting at 10am.
Registration deadline is noon of June 8, 2019. Entry fee is $10, while the admission fee is $5.
There will also be a competitors’ meeting at noon, Saturday, June 8, 2019, at the NMPASI conference room in Gualo Rai, Saipan.

SSHS registration for ongoing students

Saipan Southern High School is now accepting registration forms for ongoing students for SY 2019-2020. Deadline for submission will be on Aug. 21, 2019. Public invited to Islandwide Cleanup

The Bureau of Environmental and Coastal Quality would like to invite the public to participate in the two-day Islandwide Cleanup on May 31, from 3pm to 4:30pm and on Saturday, June 1, from 8am to 10am. The event is part of the celebration of Environmental Awareness Week, which will be celebrated on May 28-31, 2019.
If you are interested in participating in the islandwide cleanup, fill up the registration form and submit before 4:30pm on May 21, 2019. Fax the form to BECQ at 664-8540, or email it to the event coordinators:
