American Memorial Park resumes operations

With the passing of Typhoon Dolphin, American Memorial Park Visitor Center and Micro Beach facilities resumed normal operations as of 9am on Sunday, May 17, 2015. Visitor Center hours will be from 9am to 5pm, seven days a week. We look forward to serving you. (NPS)

Child car seat checkpoints on Saipan

The Department of Public Safety’s Traffic Section will be conducting child car seat checkpoints on Saipan on Wednesday, May 20, 2015, from 4pm to 5:15pm along Chalan Monsignor Guerrero, Chalan Kiya by CUC Waterloo on the westbound lane. This will be followed at 6:30pm to 7:45pm along Beach Road, Susupe, in front of the Pedro P. Tenorio Multi-Purpose Building on the northbound lane.

Certified child passenger safety technicians will check car seats for proper installation and advise parents and caregivers how to choose the right car seats and install them properly in their vehicles. (DPS)

Tinian DPS sets sobriety checkpoints

The Tinian Department of Public Safety’s Traffic Section will be conducting DUI/sobriety checkpoints on the dates and time listed below:

Monday, May 22, 2015, 11am to 12:15pm, eastbound lane by baseball field; 4pm to 5:15pm, southbound lane by Youth Center

Friday, May 25, 2015, 11am to 12:15pm, eastbound lane by baseball field; 4pm to 5:15pm, southbound lane by Youth Center. (DPS)
