PTSA meeting for Kagman schools
This is to inform all parents, guardians, and the community that Kagman schools will be having a Parents Teachers Students Association meeting tomorrow, May 14, at 5:30pm in the Kagman High School cafeteria. We are encouraging all parents and guardians to attend this meeting. Child care will be provided, awards will be given to the calendar entry winners and more. Military training at Farallon de Medinilla, in open ocean
ASAN, Guam—The U.S Air Force will conduct training at the island of Farallon de Medinilla on May 13, from 7:30am to 8pm.
The U.S. Navy will conduct an open-ocean exercise on May 13 from 1pm to 4pm at coordinates 13° 26″N/145° 08″E and 13° 42″N/144° 36″E.
It is recommended the public, fishermen, and marine tour operators monitor the Coast Guard broadcast notice to mariners for advisories. It is also recommended the public, commercial pilots, fishermen, and marine tour operators stay clear from the area during the dates and times indicated.
The general location of the training on the island of Farallon de Medinilla will be in a 3-nautical mile radius of the island.
These types of trainings are designed to enhance the readiness of military personnel. (JRM)
Guam CHamoru commission meetings set
The Kumisión i Fino’ CHamoru yan i Fina’nå’guen i Historia yan i Lina’la’ i Taotao Tåno’ (Commission on CHamoru Language and the Teaching of the History and Culture of the Indigenous People of Guam) will hold a meeting on May 23, Thursdays, from 12:30pm to 3pm., at the Garden House, Plasa de Espana, in Hagåtña. A work session will also be held on May 16, from 12:30pm to 3pm at the same venue.
