SCC’s April membership meeting set
The Saipan Chamber of Commerce will host its April general membership meeting on April 7, 2021, at Hyatt Regency Ballroom. The guest speaker is Sixto Igisomar, director of the CNMI Procurement and Technical Assistance Center, who will be sharing updates about the newest business-support center on island as well as how businesses can best position themselves to win federal contracts.
The Northern Marianas Humanities Council will also be sharing their strategic plans and upcoming projects.
Due to COVID-19 protocols, RSVP is required to attend the meeting. To RSVP, register by 12pm on April 6. Due to COVID-19 room capacity restrictions, the SCC is capping its RSVPs at 100 guests. Adjusted CNMI Judiciary hours
The CNMI Judiciary will be open from 8am to 12pm on Thursday, April 1, 2021, and will be closed from12pm on Thursday, April 1, 2021, Friday, April 2, 2021 (Good Friday holiday), through Monday, April 5, 2021 (Austerity Day). Regular business hours will resume on Tuesday, April 6, 2021. (PR)
5.2-magnitude earthquake
At 5:42am on March 30, 2021 a report of a 5.2-magnitude earthquake occurred at 21.377°N 145.960°E. Currently, there are no tsunami warnings or advisories that were issued by the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center. For more information, please contact the CNMI EOC State Warning Point at 237-8000. (PR)
