Family grief support meeting on April 3
A group that is in the process of forming a Compassionate Friends chapter on Saipan will be holding their monthly grief support meeting on Thursday, April 3, from 6pm to 7:30pm, in the NMPASI conference room on Middle Road, in Gualo Rai. Navy requests assistance to stop Guam fires
PITI, Guam—The U.S. Navy is requesting that anyone who has information on recent fires on or near military property on Guam to call the Naval Criminal Investigative Service at 339-7220.
Federal firefighters have fought multiple fires over the past year that have put at risk Navy military and civilian personnel, facilities, and critical infrastructure. There is a growing concern that the fires may have been set intentionally. (PR)
Air Force training on Farallon de Medinilla
ASAN, Guam—The U.S. Air Force will conduct training on the island of Farallon de Medinilla on the following dates and times:
April 2-3, from 7pm to 11:59pm
April 4, from 1pm to 6pm
The general public especially fishermen, commercial pilots and marine tour operators are advised to stay clear from the area during the times and dates indicated.
The general location of the training on the island of Farallon de Medinilla training area will be on a 10 nautical mile radius on all quadrants. (PR)
OPA staff on Tinian, Rota for filings
Staff of the Office of the Public Auditor will be on Rota on Tuesday, April 8, 2014, and on Tinian on Thursday, April 10, 2014, to notarize and accept last-minute filings of financial disclosure statements from government officials. Filers on Rota may visit the Rota Mayor’s Office on April 8 from 10:30am to 4pm. Filers on Tinian may visit the Tinian Mayor’s Office on April 10 from 10:30am to 3:30pm. All filers are reminded to bring with them some form of photo identification, such as a driver’s license or a passport. Failure to do so may result in the denial of notary services.
