IT&E reminds agencies to 1st request cable site for excavation

In light of the additional cable cuts and damage to the phone pedestals caused by various agencies and private businesses which have caused service outages for IT&E’s valuable customers, IT&E would like to remind anyone who plans to dig or excavate on or near any roads in the CNMI that they must request a cable location 24 hours prior to performing any such excavation work.

Cable locations can be requested by calling 611 at any time. IT&E will schedule a team member to mark the location of our cable at no cost.

Failure to request a cable location or damaging IT&E’s cable or facilities will not only cause service interruptions but also result in charges for the full repair of the IT&E facilities.

IT&E thanks the involved entities in advance for their understanding and cooperation with this notice. (PR)
