Operation Christmas Child events this weekend
Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child children’s events and distributions begin this weekend, March 29-31. Events are for all children ages 2-14 who have registered. Remember you must bring your ticket with you to your assigned event. One ticket per child. Children must be present to participate. Free probate workshop on Tinian
The Micronesian Legal Services Corp. will be holding a free probate workshop today, March 28, at the Tinian Public Library, from 1:30pm to 3:30pm.
The workshop covers two sessions, including preliminaries to filing in court, accessing bank funds, and handling small estates. Materials on the related subject will be provided.
The workshop will be handled by directing lawyer Jane Mack. This is part of a series of workshops related to probate manners.

CUC warns vs use of large appliances
Those living in the villages of Kagman, Koberville, Dandan, As Terlaje, and Fina Sisu are being urged to conserve their use of high-powered appliances that may result in low voltage performance due to the ongoing work being performed by line crews of the Commonwealth Utilities Corp. and its contractor. Military training at FDM, in open ocean, at Warning Area 517
ASAN, Guam—The U.S. Navy and Air Force is conducting training at Farallon de Medinilla until March 29, from 8am to 10pm.
The U.S. Navy will conduct an open-ocean exercise from 7pm of March 28, to 1am of March 29, at the following coordinates: 13° 26”N/145° 08”E, 13° 42”N/144° 36”E.
The U.S. Coast Guard will conduct training at Warning Area 517 on March 30, from 10am to 6pm. (PR)
Mahi-mahi Fishing Derby set
The Saipan Fishermen’s Association will hold the 15th Annual Mahi-mahi Fishing Derby on March 30, 2019. Prizes will include $1,000 cash for first place, with remaining placement prizes to be announced. The registration fee is $100 per boat, including one captain and one angler, and $10 for each additional angler.
