Fund announces extension of deadlines

Due to the global COVID-19 pandemic, the Settlement Fund will be extending the deadline for members to submit the Annuity Recipient Update Form (SF-200) by 30 days. The new deadline to submit the SF-200 form is April 15, 2020.
Furthermore, in an effort to protect the man’amko, general public, and the employees of the Fund from contracting COVID-19, the Settlement Fund office will be closed to the public and will not accept walk-in requests and inquiries, until further notice. During this period of closure, the Fund will continue its operations and will be available to assist members only by telephone, fax, or email between 8am and 5pm, Monday-Friday.

Susupe Community Garden meeting postponed

In response to COVID-19 concerns, the Susupe Community Garden Meeting, originally scheduled for Wednesday, March 18, is postponed until further notice. The garden will, however, remain open for watering and maintenance. Members of the community are urged to avoid public gatherings, stay home as much as possible, monitor media advisories, and practice good personal hygiene, including frequent handwashing with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.

New hours at the Joeten-Kiyu Public Library

Effective March 15, 2020, the Joeten-Kiyu Public Library’s new hours of operation will be open Wednesday through Friday from 10am to 6pm and Saturdays from 9am to 4pm. JKPL will be closed Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, and holidays.

Guam to mail 253 ​tax refund check this week

HAGATNA, Guam—The Department of Revenue & Taxation has processed and the Department of Administration will mail ​253 ​tax refund checks this week.
The checks total approximately ​$1,658,769 including refunds garnished to repay government debts for error free returns filed on or before ​Sept. 20, 2019.
